Beauty Treatment Tips to Protect Your Lips

Published by sarita at 7:19 am under Uncategorized Edit This

Perhaps you are aware of the significance of protecting your skin against too much exposure to sun? Skin cancer of lips is increasing these days at an alarming rate, and almost everyone is looking for means to protect their lips from this deadly disease.

Whether you are snowboarding or skiing this winter, or simply cruising around anytime of the year, you must follow a few simple tips to protect your lips:

  • Decide On Your Lip-Gloss Carefully – Due to its reflective, shiny nature, some dermatologists have claimed that applying lip-gloss and then exposing yourself in the sunlight is almost similar to taking a magnifying mirror and focusing concentrated rays of the sun directly on lips. Always go for a lip-gloss that has high level of Sun Protection Formula included in its recipe.
  • Use High SPF Lip Balm – If your favorite lip-gloss does not have Sun Protection Formula, try to find a baselayer lip balm which has it. You must wear lip balms with a minimum Sun Protection Formula30 underneath your lips always. These products help to keep your lips moisturized too!
  • Go For a Good Lipstick Instead– Because lipsticks have more pigment content than a lip-gloss, using a good lipstick will give you better protection from the harmful rays of the sun. Matte lipsticks have an added benefit over lip-glosses. Hence, just pick up a lipstick instead of a lip-gloss to get healthy and shiny lips!
